President Duterte Prays For Mary Jane Veloso Jailed in Indonesia
President Duterte prays for Mary Jane Veloso a detained Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) that was jailed in Indonesia for drug trafficking since 2010.
The president welcomed the 129 OFW’s arrived in the Philippines from Saudi Arabia. “I pray I can do something for her,” Duterte said. After visiting Brunei for the ASEAN Summit in Laos he will fly to Indonesia on September 8-9, 2016.
In 2010 Mary Jane Veloso was jailed in Indonesia for Drug trafficking. After she loses her job in Malaysia, her god sister convinced her to go to Indonesia carrying a suitcase that was allegedly contained drugs.
Veloso claims it was only a duplicate and that was not her bag and insisting her innocence. She was on death row of the said country in October 2010 but she was spared and re-scheduled in 2015.
