Guide Leaky Ship “Philippines” Into Right Path, Ramos Dares Duterte
Fidel V. Ramos dares President Rodrigo Duterte to guide the leaky ship “Philippines” into the right path by overcoming disunity in the country.
The Philippines was compared by Ramos into a leaky and slow-moving ship which symbolize disunity in the country. Ramos challenged the president as the captain of this leaking ship to start directing the Filipinos unto the right path.
The former president said that Duterte must first address national development, community harmony, and public safety rather than skippering willy-nilly headlong and oblivious danger signs. FVR also said that unity of Filipinos was required to overcome internal strife of the ship that causes the leak and slow-moving because we are all together in the ship.
He also said that the current president can only do that when he proves his psychological fortitude, mental stability, and navigational skills as the flag carrier of our country. Ramos said that the pace of presidency is not for self-centered, onion-skinned, panicky, and fragile characters because the journey of being a president is not easy.
