Comelec Launches Website for Election Results.
Election Results. As every registered voter is excited to vote for the 2016 National and Local Elections, Monday, the majority is also excited to see who will be the next successor of President Benigno Aquino III.
The Commission of Elections (Comelec) already launched is public website that will show the results of the May 9 elections.
According to Comelec Spokesperson Director James Jimenez, the website showing the results of the election will be online once all the polling precincts have closed later at 5 p.m.
Jimenez said that the transmissions from the vote-counting machines from the precincts will be directed to their website.
Those who will be visiting the website can also choose the area where official results have been transmitted from the provincial level down to the precinct level.
He also added that the website will also feature a progress bar showing the actual percentage of the certificates of canvass counted by the Comelec however clarified that the data will not be sued for the actual canvassing of votes for president and vice president which will be done by the congress.

To avoid intrigues, Jimenez added that the votes will not be ranked per candidate.
“Yung mismong boto makikita mo lang sa precinct level. Wala tayong ranking. Walang pagto-total ditto kasi ayaw natin masabi nila kino-control nain ‘yung labas para sabihing may panalo na,” he said.
Phones were meanwhile prohibited in polling precincts to avoid vote-buying. There were more than 54 million registered to which 75-80 percent are expected by the Comelec.
While there are glitches in the VCMs, Comelec is expecting that the voting will extend in case-to-case bases.
