She asked, “Has Guo Hua Ping assumed the identity of a Filipino woman?” She was referring to an “Alice Leal Guo,” who shares the same name and birthdate as Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, born on July 12, 1986. However, they look completely different.
Hontiveros’s questions and suspicions stemmed from the documents obtained from the NBI. These documents suggested a possible case of stolen identity, where Guo Hua Ping might have used the identity of a Filipina for her interests. This allegation raised concerns not only for Hontiveros but also for her colleagues in the Senate, who seek to uncover the truth behind the issue.
Despite Hontiveros’s deep questions and concerns, Mayor Alice Guo of Bamban, Tarlac did not attend the Senate hearing on POGO. Instead, she was spotted in Castillejos, Zambales after skipping the Senate hearing this morning. Her absence from the hearing sparked further questions and speculations about the real reason for her absence.
