Soldiers Dinner With President Duterte on National Heroes Day
Soldiers dinner with President Rodrigo Duterte on National Heroes Day that he promised this early August.
On Monday (August 29, 2016) in Malacañang the soldiers wounded in action met the president for a dinner that he promised. 64 wounded soldiers join the dinner in the palace the injured army traveled from Camp Siongco in Maguindanao and V. Luna’s Heroes Ward.
At the Heroes Hall on Monday night the soldiers enjoyed the dinner with a lot of menus such as chicken sotanghon, ensaladang talong, ginataang isda with mustasa, grilled seafood, mais con yelo, cassava cake, and durian tart.
Surprise gifts, a string of promises, and words of wisdom is what the president have given to the soldiers aside from the dinner. Duterte said that he will take care of the soldiers under his administration because soldiers are only fears to die because of the family that they will leave behind.
