SPOX Salvador Panelo took public transportation for the second time on Friday. He took a tricycle in Bacolod City and paid PHP 10.00 for the ride.
Bearing his position under Duterte’s administration, he was wearing a blue cap with initials “SPOX/CPLC” with means Presidential Spokesperson and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel.
“Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo rides a tricycle on Friday. He refused to reveal his location but said he paid P10 for his fare,” as posted by Arianne Merez on her Twitter account.
SPOX Panelo first accepted the commute challenge last October 11. On his way going to the New Executive Building (NEB) in Malacañan Palace in Manila, he took four jeepney rides and a motorcycle trip.
In a press conference after his first attempt, Panelo said that there is no “mass transport crisis”. Yet he then realized that there is a “traffic crisis”.
“We’re against it. Hindi dapat ganoon (It should not be like that),” Panelo said. “It cannot be permanent, it cannot be constant. We have to change it,“
Aside from having Panelo in Bacolod City last Friday, USec Edwin Enrile, the Undersecretary of the Department of Tourism, also arrived in Bacolod as President Duterte’s “official representative”.
