SUV Driver in Viral Mandaluyong Incident has Previous Reckless Imprudence Case
The Philippine National Police (PNP) revealed that the SUV driver involved in a hit and run incident in Mandaluyong City has a previous reckless imprudence case.
The suspect in the viral hit-and-run incident in Mandaluyong City, according to PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr., had a previous traffic ticket for reckless imprudence. A security guard was caught on camera running over a suspect in a recent incident.
After the driver failed to show up for the last hearing session, the PNP official requested that the Land Transportation Office (LTO) cancel his license. Danao wants the suspect’s license revoked to prevent him from endangering others.
Mr. San Vicente, the SUV’s owner, has a past instance of reckless imprudence, according to Danao. The cop added that this was not the suspect’s first encounter with a similar circumstance.
If the vehicle owner was not driving at the time of the incident, he can refuse to submit and defend himself, based on the report. The suspect allegedly failed to appear at the LTO office for the first and second hearings.
According to Mandaluyong City Police Chief Col. Gauvin Mel Unos, the victim Christian Joseph Floralde was released from the hospital last week after suffering injuries as a result of the incident. Floralde, on the other hand, is dead set on prosecuting the suspect.
