Here are the selected areas which Malacañang Palace declared as #WalangPasok on February 2 and 3, 2018 due to various special celebration
Malacañang Palace declared February 2 & 3, 2018 as special non-working days at selected areas.
Through Proclamation Nos. 398, 399, 402, 403 and 404 series of 2018, the said dates are included in #WalangPasok for the observance of various important events.
These are the following areas which will have non-working holidays during the given dates in accordance to the special occasion, based on the report in the website of PRC Board.
February 2, 2018, Friday – Special non-working holiday in the Province of Ilocos Sur due to the celebration of the “Kannawidan Ylocos Festival” (Proclamation No. 398)
February 2, 2018, Friday – Special non-working day in the Province of Ilocos Norte due to the celebration of its 200th Founding Anniversary (Proclamation No. 402)
February 3, 2018, Saturday – Special non-working day in the Province of Bulacan due to the celebration of its Blas F. Ople Birth Anniversary (Proclamation No. 399)
Ople was the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Senate President and Secretary of Labor. As a public servant, he dedicated a big part of his life in serving the country and the Filipino people which made him worthy of recognition as a model citizen of Bulacan, most especially by his fellow Bulakenyos.
February 3, 2018, Saturday – Special non-working day in the City of Biñan, Province of Laguna due to the celebration of its 73rd Liberation Day (Proclamation No. 403)
February 3, 2018, Saturday – Special non-working day in the City of Cabanatuan due to the celebration of its 68th Founding Anniversary (Proclamation No. 404)
According to the Palace, it is just appropriate to declare as special non-working holidays the given dates so that the citizens of the aforementioned areas can celebrate the specified special events and participate in the ceremonies, based on the report.
