The center of Tropical Depression “AGHON” is approximately 350 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, at coordinates 8.3°N, 129.5°E. With maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near its center and gustiness up to 55 km/h, TD Aghon is moving west-northwestward at 30 km/h. This system, along with prevailing easterlies, is significantly influencing weather conditions across the country.

Forecast Weather Conditions

Eastern Samar and Dinagat Islands: These areas will experience rains accompanied by gusty winds due to TD Aghon. Eastern section of Southern Luzon and Visayas: Winds will be moderate to strong, blowing from east to northeast. Coastal waters in these regions will be moderate to rough, with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 3.1 meters.

Eastern section of Northern and Central Luzon: Moderate winds from east to southeast will prevail, resulting in moderate coastal waters with waves between 1.2 and 2.5 meters.

Mindanao: Wind speeds will be light to moderate, coming from the southwest, and coastal waters will be slight to moderate, with wave heights from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

The rest of the country: Expect light to moderate winds from east to northeast, and coastal waters will range from slight to moderate, with wave heights between 0.6 and 2.1 meters.
