Eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao said that he is expecting a more aggressive Timothy Bradley during their boxing match on April 9. The bout will be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In an article written on Boxing Scene, with the addition of Teddy Atlas in Team Bradley, Pacquiao believes that his American opponent will be more offensive.
“[Fans]can expect more action. Not because it is my last fight. Not just because I trained hard but I am focused… He has a new coach that should make him more offensive,” as quoted in the article.
Manny Pacquiao already stated in many reports that his fight on April 9 will be his last for his 21-year boxing career. Pacquiao has a record of 57 wins, 6 losses, 2 draws, including 38 knockouts.
Pacquiao also said that after his retirement, he’ll be focusing on his political career. He’s now aspiring to be a senator in the Philippine under the political party of presidential candidate VP Jejomar Binay.
The Pacman hasn’t yet to win via KO since 2009 over Miguel Cotto. He said that he’ll do his best on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time) but is not promising a knockout.
“If it (knockout) comes, it is a bonus. I am not going to predict it for this fight. I am going to do my best and if happens then it happens, but I just want to do my best,” said the Pacquiao.
Pacquiao-Bradley 3 isn’t a title match. But the WBO will give a “legacy belt” for the winner of the bout. The belt will have the words, “Battle of Super Champions” on it.
