Team Pacquiao To Fly To US, Final Training Camp
Team Pacquiao – Eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, together with his team, is going to fly to the United States to continue his training camp which will be held at the Wild Card Gym.
In a report by ABS-CBN, Pacquiao is scheduled to fly to the US on Saturday, October 22, 2016, as the Senate session closes.
According to Hall of Fame trainer Coach Freddie Roach, Pacquiao is doing good in his training and sees him as “phenomenal” during the camp.
The veteran coach said that Pacquaio still amazed him even with their 15 years already.
“I have been training Manny for 15 years and even after all this time he still amazes me. He’s pushing 38 and he still outworks every fighter I’ve ever worked with,” Roach said as quoted.
Another thing that amazes Roach is how Pacquiao was able to manage his time being a Senator and a boxer as well.
“He’s had a kil1er schedule during this training camp but it’s been really productive. You’d have to see it to believe it,” he said.
During his oath taking, Pacquiao said that he wanted to would serve his people as a senator.
“Boxing is my passion and public service is my calling. I will continue to travel both roads as long as I can do both effectively,” Pacquiao said.
“I fight to bring glory to the Philippines whether I’m wearing boxing gloves or standing on the floor of the senate,” he added.
Manny Pacquaio is preparing for his bout on November 5 against a younger fighter, WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas.
This will be Pacquiao’s comeback fight after announcing his retirement in April 2016 after winning over the American boxer, Timothy Bradley.
Pacquiao has said earlier that he will be retiring in order to focus on his political career and his family as well.
