Pokemon Go in New York City’s Central Park
Pokemon Go Invasion – After the release of Pokemon Go as a mobile game, millions of people all over the world just became obsessed with the game to ‘catch ‘em all’, just like what happened to the Pokemon Go players who invaded Central Park, Friday evening, in search for a rare Pokemon, Vaporeon.
As seen in the video, Pokemon Go players can be seen rushing to New York City’s Central Park looking to capture Vaporeon. It’s just a fascinating scenario on how people became serious about hunting Pokemons!
The said famous mobile game made by Niantic, allows players to really explore the world in search for Pokemons. With the augmented reality feature using a phone’s camera and sensors, it may seem that these Pokemons were in real life.
Other Pokemons, which are rare, most of the time pops up occasionally. No wonder why people just to the Central Park as indicated on the people’s maps.
This is not actually the first time that people have been seen rushing to catch a Pokemon.
Pokemon was first played in Nintendo’s Gameboy wherein it became an instant hit. Pokemon also became a cartoon series that really influenced many people all around the globe.
The new mobile game was developed by Niantic Labs which made it possible to explore the real world while having connected to game virtually through augmented reality.
The said game was free to download in apps stores of both Android and iOS though, there are small add-ons that cost from $0.99 – $99.99.
Today, there are millions of people who have already downloaded the mobile app and according to Heavy, there are already 21 million active users every single day. And it added that about 10 percent of the total Android users have been playing the game. Incredible!
