Netizens Slam DOH, Petitions To Change Its Name To “Department of Ha?”
QUESTIONABLE DECISIONS – The Department of Health (DOH) is underfire with netizens saying it should change its name to “Department of Ha?”

DOH said that their system was once again changed. Now, asymptomatic patients who have finished their 14-day quarantine were considered as “recovered” despite not having a final swab test. Unsurprisingly, this did not sit well with the public and lawmakers alike.
Since the start of the rising cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines, the only things that seemed to be constant were an increase in cases and the DOH being slammed online for their decisions. Here are some of their thoughts on DOH’s decisions:
Upon learning about DOH’s new memorandum, Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero asked President Rodrigo Duterte to fire Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.
According to a report from Philnews, the governor said:
“After recording the highest one-day covid+ new cases of 3,954, DOH reports a 38,075 “mass recovery adjustment” to include mild/asymptomatic cases… This is “only in the Philippines” & is intolerable & insulting! PRRD: Sir, please fire Sec. Duque!!! You/we/I deserve better po!!!”
Duque has been in the hot-seat for his decisions ever since the coronavirus began to spread in the Philippines. Each month, the Health Secretary is involved in a new issue he himself started. But, despite the massive outcry of both the public and lawmakers alike, Duterte said Duque would stay on his post.
