Supposedly, kids should be protected, nourished and taken cared by their parents but this 2-year-old Nigerian boy was so very unfortunate to have a family who abandons him somewhere in the streets wandering alone, naked, starving almost eight months because they thought their son was a witch.
His name is Hope, he was found and rescued by the Danish aid worker Anja Ringgren Loven living in Africa also the same person who gave him food, water and took him to the hospital for his medication of malnutrition. His emaciated thin body was treated to remove the worms in his belly and was donated daily by blood for the recovery of his red blood cells.
Anja Ringgren Loven, the person working in the charity, helped and rescued kids who are categorized as a witch. Three years, she built this kind of Foundation for kids who have been abandoned by their families that almost lose their life.
Not only hope was only the victim of this issue but there are thousands of children in that country were accused that they are witches.
“Thousands of children are being accused of being witches and we’ve both seen the torture of children, dead children, and frightened children,” she explained.
The photo she wrote and posted on Facebook while feeding Hope was to seek for donations regarding for this child to help pay for his medical bills.
“Hope’s condition is stable now. He’s taking food for himself and he responds to the medicine he gets.”
“Today, he has had powers to sit up and smiling at us. He’s a strong little boy.”
She also added while Hope is playing with her son,
“I just don’t know how to describe it in words. This is what makes life so beautiful and valuable and therefore I will let the pictures speak for themselves.”
