A Letter to the Supporters of Miriam
Although Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago failed for her 3rd attempt in running for the position of president, still many supporters loved her and idolized her for her courage despite her health condition. Many believed that she is the real symbol of a public servant, a deserving to be in the position of being the chief executive of the country.
Aside from her courage, many respected personalities including the president-elect Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte idolized her strong personality and intellectual capacity. Some would even say that if Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago is not ill, for sure she will win the position. But still there are 3.4% of overall voters believe in her capacity to lead the country.
Many open letters have spread online thanking for her courageous attempt, thanking for her service, thanking for contribution in the country.
But what is sad, is the fact that there are people who hated her and her supporters, just like this viral letter who gone viral on Facebook.
This letter was made by one certain Mark Daniel De Leon. His post was screen captured and gone viral receiving a lot of negative comments contradicting her personal statement about the president and her decision for running.
The letter reads:
Dear Miriam Supporters,
You can compare Digong to her all you want, brag about her credentials, mock Digong of his imperfections but at the end of the day, she will never win. Know why? Because obviously your woman is just running for presidency to add it in her achievements before she di3. She isn’t running for the people. She didn’t even promise security. She can’t unite the left and the right. She can’t persecute her corrupt colleagues. She’s not a leader. For the n’th time the Filipino people lose a better president? Oh common! You better ask yourselves why she never won. She has charisma but never enough. Oh I forgot, she might even di3 before the year ends!

She might not win atleast she tried to make a difference, to you Mr. Mark Daniel de Leon if there’s no good in every words you say, just shut your mouth you don’t have any right to tell how long the person might live. I’m not Mirriam supporter but atleast I respect her. So please you do as well.

I think this guy is too full of himself! maybe he is right, that madam Merriam isn’t running for the people… BECAUSE SHE IS LIVING FOR THE PEOPLE… SPENDING HER LIFETIME SERVING THE PEOPLE…. and who is this guy to say that she can’t do this and that? he talks as if he already knew digong’s ability… he seems sure that digong will do this and that…. huh! well I hope you will be the first one to taste digong’s “madugong pamumuno” once he finally takes the president seat at malacañang.
