Newly Graduate SHS Student Flaunts Father Attending Despite Sweaty, Dirty Clothes
A newly graduate senior high school (SHS) student flaunts her father attending her ceremony despite being sweaty and with dirty clothes.
Guillerma Idias, a recent senior high school graduate from Manlapay, Dalaguete, Cebu, touched the hearts of the internet community with a post about her father on Facebook. Despite the fact that she was fresh off the job, sweaty, and wearing dirty clothing, Idias was proud to say that her father attended her graduation ceremony.
The daughter did not accept her father’s alleged shame over his appearance. Despite being busy at work, Idias was pleased that her father could make it to her graduation.
According to the Facebook post translated into Filipino, “Sabi ko kay Papa, ‘Picture tayong dalawa (sabay smile). Tapos sabi ni Papa ‘Wag na lang kasi hindi ako nakapagbihis, ang dumi at ang basa ko pa’ pero sabi ko sa kaniya ‘Eh ano naman kung marumi ang damit at basa na, wala akong paki, hindi kita ikinahihiya, bahala na kahit hindi ka pa nakapagbihis,” said the graduate.
Her father operates backhoes, according to the article. Guillerma was ecstatic to be able to watch her commencement. The father apparently went straight to the school to see his daughter graduate, despite being exhausted and disorganized.
“Thankful ako na nandito ka sa graduation ko, kahit na pagod ka galing sa trabaho, dumiretso ka talaga sa graduation ko, kahit na basa ka pa, Pa. I love you Papa,” said the SHS graduate.
