Philippine Marine Member Doing Unlawful Act Against Animals
Causing suffering and inflicting pain to animals are really unlawful. And it is really hard to tell what makes people harm innocent animals. That is why it is very important to report people who hurt animals. As epidemic as any diseases that are existing on earth, animal cru3lty is a nationwide problem rapidly growing .
Animal abusers find some sort of weird fulfilment or power in maltreating a victim especially if they know it can’t fight back. According to statistics, there are millions of helpless animals suffering from maltreatment and what’s worse is most of them di3.
Animal cru3lty is really inhumane, that is why RA8485 or The Animal Welfare Act of 1998 is formed. RA8485 is the act promoting and protecting the welfare of all animals in the Philippines.
But there are a lot of people who still continues to do this unlawful act. Just like these photos below that really magnetized our attention and gave us the hate to the one who posted it on his Facebook account.
According to RA8485 section 9 which states:
Any person who subjects any animal to cruelty, maltreatment or neglect shall, upon conviction by final judgment, be punished by imprisonment and/or fine.
As can be seen in the photo, you see an animal being roasted on the fire, and we assume that it is a dog.

The other photo shows a “bayawak” or a monitor lizard being ki||ed by a man using a knife. For all we know “bayawak” is already included in the endangered “red list.”

It is really heartbreaking and at the same time very disappointing seeing people doing this kind of inhumane acts. We urge the government to take action of this unlawful act.
