John Kebyn Villarino, a working student and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Far Eastern University (FEU) is currently making rounds online as his story which he shared on Facebook inspire thousands of Netizens.
According to a report published by GMA News, it took different jobs for John Kebyn Villarino, a Bachelor of Science and Accountancy (BSA) student to finally finish his course.
John Kebyn Villarino said that he wasn’t able to maintain his scholarship considering that he had to go out and join pageants which is one way to support his studies. It took him 6 years to be able to complete his degree and receive Latin Honors.
But student’s life like many other wasn’t easy for him. He even slept at his friend’s dorm at the time he was kicked of his dormitory. But worst of all is he decided to stop after his family had financial problem.
John Kebyn Villarino shared that he work as a fast food crew, typing jobs, call center agent and joining pageants just to earn money and return studying.
He also worked abroad but he choose to return to the Philippines to finally finish his studies.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng naniwala, sumoporta at sa lahat ng kaibigan ko. 6 years ko tong hinintay, at masasabi ko na sawakas, gagraduate na ko!” he said cheerfully, “Sa mga kapwa students ko, never give up. Wag na wag kayong susuko. Ituloy mo lang yan at alam kong kakayanin mo yan!” he noted as he pay gratitude for those who supported him.
John Kebyn Villarino is hoping that his story will motivate and inspire students who are gearing up to finish their studies.
