The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released its afternoon weather forecast for Wednesday, April 30, 2025. The forecast highlights the effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and prevailing easterlies across the country.

According to PAGASA, the ITCZ is affecting Palawan and Mindanao, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Residents in these areas are advised to prepare for possible flash floods and landslides, as moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall may occur.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Although generally fair weather is expected, sudden downpours could trigger localized flooding or landslides, especially in areas with poor drainage or steep terrain.
Wind conditions across the country remain light to moderate, blowing from the east to northeast. Coastal waters will also remain slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 1.8 meters. Small fishing vessels and sea travelers are still advised to monitor updates, particularly in areas affected by thunderstorms.
Temperature readings for the 24 hours ending 4:00 PM today showed a minimum temperature of 23.9°C recorded at 4:40 AM and a maximum of 33.9°C recorded at 11:00 AM. Relative humidity ranged from a high of 92% at 5:00 AM to a low of 51% at 11:00 AM, indicating humid conditions throughout the day.
PAGASA has also issued general flood advisories for several regions, reflecting the heightened risk from prolonged rains. Region 4B (MIMAROPA) is under General Flood Advisory #2, while Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula), Region 11 (Davao Region), Region 12 (SOCCSKSARGEN), and BARMM are under General Flood Advisory #3.
PAGASA reminds the public to stay alert for thunderstorm advisories and flood warnings, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas. The agency encourages everyone to remain vigilant, heed local government alerts, and ensure emergency preparedness in case of severe weather.
For the latest updates, residents are advised to follow PAGASA’s official platforms and local disaster risk reduction offices.
