The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced in its 4:00 PM weather bulletin on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, that the easterlies will continue to bring rain over several parts of the country.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over portions of Mindanao, particularly the Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao del Sur, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. These conditions are attributed to the prevailing easterlies—warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean—which are influencing the country’s weather systems.
PAGASA warned of potential flash floods or landslides in these areas due to moderate to sometimes heavy rainfall. Residents in these regions are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions, especially in flood-prone or mountainous areas.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Although rainfall in these areas is expected to be less frequent and intense, severe thunderstorms may still cause localized flooding or landslides.
Regarding wind and sea conditions, Northern Luzon will experience moderate winds blowing from the northeast to north, accompanied by moderate coastal waters ranging from 1.5 to 2.1 meters. The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds from the southeast to northeast, with coastal waters ranging from 0.6 to 1.8 meters. Similarly, the Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds coming from the east to northeast, along with slight to moderate seas.
Temperature readings for the day ranged from a minimum of 26.7°C recorded at 6:50 AM to a maximum of 34.9°C at 3:00 PM. Relative humidity was highest at 82% early in the morning and dropped to a low of 49% by noon.
As unstable weather conditions persist due to the easterlies, PAGASA advises the public to remain updated through its regular bulletins and to practice caution during thunderstorms, especially in low-lying or mountainous areas.
