Pagasa Afternoon Weather Forecast For April 25, 2025

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued its afternoon weather forecast on April 25, 2025, warning of rainy conditions in several areas of Mindanao due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

Pagasa Weather Update

According to Pagasa, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. The weather bureau cautioned that moderate to at times heavy rains could trigger flash floods or landslides, especially in low-lying or mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao is expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also due to the ITCZ. Residents are urged to remain alert as severe thunderstorms may still cause flash floods or landslides.

In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, weather conditions will be partly cloudy, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. The prevailing easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, are bringing these. While rain showers will generally be brief and isolated, Pagasa still warned of the potential for flash floods or landslides in localized areas during intense thunderstorms.

Wind conditions across the country are expected to remain light to moderate. In Extreme Northern Luzon, winds will come from the northwest to northeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters. In the rest of the country, winds will blow from the northeast to north, and coastal waters will also remain slight to moderate, between 0.6 to 1.8 meters.

Temperature extremes recorded over the past 24 hours showed a minimum of 23.4°C at 6:30 AM and a maximum of 35.1°C at 3:00 PM. Relative humidity ranged from a low of 41% at noon to a high of 73% at 5:00 AM.

For those in Metro Manila, Pagasa noted the following tide schedule for April 26: low tides at 3:00 AM and 3:08 PM, and high tides at 9:18 AM and 9:36 PM.

Pagasa advises the public to stay updated through official bulletins and to take precautionary measures in areas prone to flooding or landslides.
