The Northeast Monsoon continues to affect Extreme Northern Luzon, while Easterlies impact the eastern section of the country. Additionally, a tropical cyclone, Tropical Depression Man-Yi, remains outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). As of 3:00 AM, Man-Yi (formerly known as “Pepito”) is located 975 km west of Northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h and gusts of up to 55 km/h. It is moving southwestward at 20 km/h.

  • Metro Manila and the Rest of the Country
    Expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the influence of Easterlies. Occasional severe thunderstorms could lead to flash floods or landslides.

Coastal Water Conditions

  • Extreme Northern Luzon
    Winds will be strong, blowing from the northeast, causing rough coastal waters with wave heights ranging from 2.8 to 4.0 meters. Mariners are advised to exercise caution.
  • Rest of Northern Luzon
    Moderate to strong winds from the northeast will prevail, with moderate to rough seas and wave heights between 1.5 to 3.1 meters.
  • Rest of the Country
    Winds will be light to moderate, coming from the northeast. Slight to moderate coastal waters are expected, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.

Tropical Depression Man-Yi Update

Although Tropical Depression Man-Yi is currently outside PAR, Pagasa continues to monitor its movement and potential impact. The system is moving southwestward and remains unlikely to affect the country in the coming days directly.

Flood Advisory

As of 6:00 AM, a general flood advisory (GFA#21) was issued for Region 2 (Cagayan Valley). Residents in low-lying and flood-prone areas should stay alert and prepared for potential flooding.
