The Northeast Monsoon is affecting Northern Luzon, while the ITCZ is influencing weather conditions in Mindanao.

Forecast Weather Conditions

  • Caraga, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi:
Expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Residents should remain cautious of possible flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains.
  • Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region:
These areas will experience cloudy skies with rains brought by the Northeast Monsoon. Similar to Mindanao, flash floods and landslides are possible due to moderate to heavy rainfall.
  • Ilocos Region:
Weather conditions will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon. No significant impact is expected.
  • Rest of Mindanao:
Areas outside the ITCZ’s primary influence will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides.
  • Metro Manila and the rest of the country:
Anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Severe thunderstorms may also lead to flash floods or landslides.

Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

  • Extreme Northern Luzon:
Winds will be strong from the northeast, with rough coastal waters (waves reaching 2.8 to 4.0 meters).
  • Rest of Northern Luzon:
Winds are moderate to strong from the northeast, and the coastal waters are moderate to rough (2.1 to 4.0 meters).
  • Rest of the country:
Winds are light to moderate from the northeast, resulting in slightly moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 2.5 meters).

Visayas, Palawan, the Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers, thunderstorms, and lightning caused by localized thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds from the northeast will prevail, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
