Typhoon Igme Update: Latest from PAGASA

As of 5:00 PM today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) provided the latest update on Tropical Depression “Igme.” The center of TD Igme is currently located approximately 530 km east-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, with coordinates at 22.0°N, 126.8°E. It maintains maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near its center, with gusts reaching up to 70 km/h. Igme is moving northwestward at a speed of 15 km/h, while the southwest monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect parts of Luzon and Visayas.

Mindanao:

Wind and Coastal Water Conditions:

For the western section of Luzon, moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to the south are expected. Coastal waters will range from moderate to rough, with wave heights between 2.5 to 3.4 meters.

In the rest of the country, winds will be light to moderate, coming from the southeast to southwest, with coastal waters expected to be light to moderate, ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.
