When talking about the weird fruits then probably you would consider Durian as one of the strangest fruits you have ever seen. Durian is a very popular fruit in Asia most especially in the Southeast Region where Durian is very abundant.

Southeast Asian people even dubbed durian as the “King of Fruits” because of its distinctive size, strong odor and formidable thorn-covered musk.

The fruit is native to Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. It is also popular in the Philippines particularly in Davao City.

And just like anyone of you here, a lot of people express diverse and passionate definition ranging from appreciation to intense disgust of this fruit.

So when Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain guessed the Jimmy Kimmel show, she made sure her time and presence would be unforgettable, so she gave the popular TV hosts and personality Jimmy Kimmel a taste of her favorite fruit – DURIAN.

Jessica Chastian is one of the main casts of Huntsman: Winter’s War.

Jessica said in front of Jimmy Kimmel that the fruit is the “bleu cheese of fruit.”

She even added, “I love it though! It tastes like onions, garlic, avocado and pineapple in a custard.”

It is no doubt that Jessica really fell in love with famous fruit.

At first, Kimmel thought that Chastain is just playing a prank with him and could not believe that he is actually trying to eat the fruit.

As of opening the Durian fruit, it can be seen how Jimmy Kimmel reacted as he smells the odor of the fruit. “Oh my god, it attacked me,” says Kimmel.

Even though Chastain devoured a pinch of the fruit, it is pretty obvious the Kimmel was reluctant to try it himself.

A Candidate of NPA – We have all seen the good relationship status of two presidential rivals PDP-Laban standard-bearer Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and People’s Reform Party standard-bearer Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago these recent days. But for all we know, Miriam’s dignity in fighting corruption and unlawful acts  knows no one, and it seems that her attention turned now to Duterte after several controversies are thrown to him (Duterte).

“Ang isang kandidato daw ng CIA and isang kandidato daw ng NPA….”, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago stated in her campaign speech at University of Sto. Tomas (UST). But who is she referring to?

In a press conference, she mentioned the name of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Grace Poe, who are running for presidential race also.

“Duterte has already been announced, if accurately by the ink, as an official candidate but he is also accepted as the official candidate of the NPA. So we have an NPA candidate. Papayag ba ng CIA na sinasabi na may relasyon sa asawa ni Grace Poe na mananalo itong mga komunista?”

She also added that the relationship of Duterte to NPA is dangerous for the country.

“It’s very dangerous dahil pag hindi nila nakuha ng tao ang kamukha niyan and kagustuhan niya baka gagamit ng dahas, but they will go out in the streets with guns… firing at people who are not with them. There is ideology involve here, it’s all personality,” Miriam said in an interview with Ron Gagalac of ABS-CBN.

She also said, “I don’t know how much money they have been given for this elections, but CIA always keeps a wary eye on Philippine election.”

She also gave advice to those who are still undecided to choose a candidate who would not put the nation to an uncertain situation”

Male Passenger Caught Maltreating  A Female Student

If ever you came across on this Facebook video, for sure you too have reacted with so much anger to this make passenger who verbally abused a female student passenger inside an FX.

The video has now garnered more than 1 million views with more than 200, 000 shares as of posting. This controversial video was been uploaded by a certain Soy Gonzales and has quickly gone viral.

As can be seen in the video, a man was seen shouting and cussing a female student inside an FX. According to Soy, the man, who was sitting with his wife beside him when the incident happened, shouted the female student because she was blocking his way.

As seen in the first video, you will witness the two exchanging hot words inside the FX. And as the female student tried to discuss the issue calmly with him, the angry male passenger was heard cursing the student.

The second video shows the heated arguments between the two of them after the male passenger and his wife coming down from the FX. The man was still shouting and cursing the student and it can be heard repeatedly. The man said that he is dealing with a big problem, and he also keeps saying cuss words to the female student.

And what’s even worse is that even though it was not captured in the video, Soy Gonzales claimed that the angry man punched the student on her shoulders.

The viral video has been a way to track the man in the video. Several netizens identified the man as Mike M. Arellano.

In a post by Social Trend PH, it can be seen that the police tracked Arellano’s location with the help of some concerned citizens. Several photos showed the alleged capture of Arellano.

When talking about Martial Law, for sure a lot of Filipino people are still in trauma because of this historical event. This was the time when the late President Ferdinand Marcos ruled the Philippines. But before we go beyond the story of Martial Law, first let us identify of what Martial Law really is.

It is when the head of the state of the President proclaims that a certain area is placed under the rule or control of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The imposition of Martial Law includes curfews, suspension of civil law, civil rights, habeas corpus, and the application or extension of military law or military justice.

Yesterday, a video unmask the idealization of the event during the Marcos period. The video was posted by the group Campaign Against the Return of the Marcoses to Malacañang – Carmma.

As can be seen in the video, they invited several Filipino youths for an interview on what they knew about Martial Law that happened in the Philippines. The video now garnered, more than 1 million views, 16 thousand likes and more than 44 thousand shares and still counting.

As the video is rolling, these young Filipino defines martial law, defining it as a time of discipline and prosperity.

One interview said, “”Mas pinaiiral and batas, ay disiplina ang tao at alam nila ang curfew.”

The other interviewee sited a positive definition and likened to the Marcos regime as like to the tough love of a parent.

“Sobrang higpit talaga niya. Pero ang higpit niya ay parang pagmamahal ng magulang,” one interviewee said.

When they are asked if they are in favor of martial law, they responded all the same – “yes.”

But it doesn’t end there…

The mode of this video changes when the camera changed its direction focusing when the interviewers introduced themselves.

Meet Marie Maiso, Rodel Briones, Danilo dela Fuente and Lourdes Victoriano, these guys were all human rights victims of the Martial law – Marcos regime.

The story of horror experiences changed the way they see martial law, admitting they didn’t know about the darkest side of this historical event.

This video campaign encourages people of the Philippines to sign a petition to include the terrifying stories experienced by Filipino people during martial law and rewrite the country’s history books.
