However, Pacquiao is also an advocate for education and sports in his home country. Considering his rags to richest story, Pacquiao always had a place in his heart for struggling athletes who are trying to make a name for themselves.
Currently, Manny Pacquiao has an estimated $220 million which equates to a whopping P10,796,913,600.00. This makes Pacquiao one of the richest people in the country. With that in mind, let’s take a loot at how he spends his money.
According to an article from SCMP, Pacquiao has at least nine houses spread across the Philippines and abroad. In his home town of General Santos, Pacquiao built 2 mansions – The “Pacman Mansion” and the contemporary rustic White House.
The Pacman Mansion was built on a 2,300 square-meter lot standing two-stories tall, with seven bedrooms. Meanwhile, their home in Sarangani is a 14-bedroom beach house found in the protected marine sanctuary area.
Aside from property, Pacquiao’s wife Jinkee, is known to be quite the fashionista. And much like Heart Evangelista, Jinkee never shies away from Instagram to show how she works her designer brands. She even posted a photo of a luxury bike!
According to the Daily Mail, each of those bikes costs roughly $10,000 back in 2013. That’s close to P490,768 based on the current USD to PHP conversions.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao also spends a premium to give his children the best education they could possibly have. Pacquiao’s children are all attending Brent International School except for their youngers, Israel. According to the article, Pacman spends around $8,000-$18,000 annually per child.
Aside from boxing, the fighting-senator also has a deep love for one of the country’s favorite sport – basketball. This brought him to start his own basketball team, Maharlika Pilipinas Basket ball League (MPBL) back in 2017.
Furthermore, Pacquiao is reportedly giving his players a monthly salary in the upwards of 15,000 pesos or around $305.
