Based on the report from Bandera, Willie Revillame stayed in the said sortie for Mayor Joy Belmonte for almost 2 hours which is quite impossible for him to buy votes for his candidate.
In line with this issue, the Wowowin host explained his side. He clarified that the money he gave to help other people came from his pocket. Willie said that the Mayor-elect and her political party have nothing to do with this.

“May humingi sa akin ng pambili ng gamot, nagbigay ako. Parang sa Wowowin lang ang ginawa ko, wala nga lang kami sa studio. Ano naman ang mali at masama sa ginawa ko, e, talaga namang ganito na ako?” the game show host said.
He added that he has not asked the beneficiaries of his charitable works for a vote.
“Wala akong hininging boto sa mga inabutan ko ng tulong, mula sa puso ang ginawa ko, nasaan ang vote buying du’n?” the host pointed out.
Based on the article, Willie Revillame definitely knows that vote-buying is prohibited but he also knows that helping the less fortunate is not a crime.
