Juliana Segovia Clarifies “Naghihirap na Troll” Viral Statement of Vice Ganda
Comedian Juliana Parizcova Segovia clarifies the viral statement of Vice Ganda against “naghihirap na troll” in their noontime show It’s Showtime.
Vice Ganda revealed an anonymous acquaintance who he claimed was forced to become a “troll,” or “those who lead online bashing on social media” owing to life’s problems in an episode of a noontime show on Tuesday. The message went viral almost instantly on social media.
“Sa totoong buhay hindi naman siya toxic talaga pero basher siya sa social media. Ta’s nalaman ko troll siya. Trabaho kasi wala siyang pera eh. Ginawa niya ‘yun, kumapit siya doon kahit mali kasi kailangan niya ng pera dahil naghihirap siya,” Vice Ganda revealed in an episode of It’s Showtime, Tuesday.
Despite this, the host requested that his guests refrain from attacking him. He went on to say that it’s pitiful, but it’s the effect of poverty on him, and that it’s not acceptable, but he doesn’t have a choice.
Juliana responded with a statement in a public conversation with “Lenlen” series director Darryl Yap on Tuesday night, despite the presenter not identifying who it was referring to. He clarified that he never asked for anything from him, his friends, or his family.
“Iniisip ko hanggang ngayon, ni isang beses wala sa kanya o sa mga kadikit niya ang hiningan ko ng Gcaash kahit singkong duling. Nung wala akong pera at trabaho nag-online ukay-ukay ako sa Facebook live pero never ako nanghingi sa kanya o sa kanila,” can be read in Juliana’s message which seems to be a response to Vice Ganda’s statement.
Vice noted that before becoming a troll, he was eager to approach pals for help via Gcash. “Hindi ako nanghingi sa kanya,” Juliana remarked when Darryl pressed her on the subject again.
Darryl’s advice to his talent, “’Wag ka nang magpaapekto, iniisip niya na kalaban ka niya. You are the size of your enemy. Giginhawa rin ang buhay mo at ang naramdaman mong pangmamaliit ngayon ay ang pinakamalaking paalala sayo na hindi ka hihinto hanggang maging matagumpay ka. Lahat ng sinabi niya ay repleksyon niya. Nandito lang kami ni Ro at Senator [Imee Marcos].”
