Liza Diño Disagree To “Catcalling” Of Duterte To Mariz Umali
Though she was a known supporter of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte, Liza Diño disagree to the whistling of the newly elected president of the Philippines to the GMA News reporter, Mariz Umali.
In her Instagram account, the actress stated, there are times that people’s interpretation of the statement of the incoming president is “out of context.”
However, according to Liza, in this kind of issue, the interpretation of Duterte he made to the reporter in a press conference in Davao City last Tuesday, May 31 was not based on the context.
“From his mouth towards a receiver—the burden of CONTEXT now lies NOT WITH HIM, but with Mariz. And Mariz said and felt it was IMPROPER,” she stated in her post yesterday.
She added, “Whether what he did in his own perspective is intentional or not, the fact that the receiver felt it was IMPROPER should be enough reason to warrant an apology. Not necessarily because she was ‘harassed’, or she was ‘s3xually abused’ but because she was OFFENDED.”

In the report of PEP, she said, though he did not mean it, still Mariz Umali felt offended so the president should ask for an apology.
Nevertheless, Liza reminded her opinion regarding the particular issue doesn’t mean that she totally renounce her support for him. Supporting him doesn’t always mean that you have to agree with him.
She said that the president is not perfect and at some point of his life or another, he’s bound to make mistakes.
She also emphasized that it’s ok for us to have different opinions as long as the RESPECT of people remains and prevails.
