Phil Younghusband On His Retirement: “Hanging Up My Boots!”

Phil Younghusband posted on his social media account about his retirement from playing football last November 18. He was known as the Azkals’ top scorer.

In an Instagram post, a Fil-British football player Phil Younghusband formally announced that he will go “in a new adventure” together with his own family. He said, “Hanging up my boots! Thank you to my bosses, my coaches, teammates, competitors and all the supporters who have been part of my journey. See you all soon in a new adventure.“

Azkals was the Philippine National Football Team. Both Phil and James were on the same team.

Our Asian Cup campaign starts tomorrow against South Korea. It’s definitely going to be a tough game against one of the tournament favourites. But we will do what we always do when we step on the field, we will give our all from the first whistle to the final whistle.
