  • St. Paul the Apostle. Who would not know him? He’s the author of most of the New Testament. Bill Dingas, a retired engineer and catechist from Livingston, Texas said “Paul is the greatest evangelist ever”.

  • Mother Teresa.  “Mother Teresa’s influence is wider, also through her humble humanity, because she lived in an age of modern media and millions could see her work and feel her influence”, one reader said. During the 1981 famine in Ethiopia she asked President Reagan for help, being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 is one great example of her influence in this world.

  • St. Augustine. Augustine’s conversion is a model for anyone who seeks God. He was so intelligent that much of our faith formation is from his influence, because of his skills of philosophy and scriptures.

  • St. Patrick. “He converted the good part of an entire people and culture, but those people returned the favor strengthening Christianity in a beleaguered Europe”, one reader stated.

  • St. Joseph. one reader calls St. Joseph the “most impressive saint” summing it up in his statement “Simply this man had to be tops at the time of Jesus. The man chosen to play, ray, teach, and protect the son of God. Trusted companion of Our Blessed Lady. The human that with God’s guidance defeated a king, out-smarted n army.”

There are still a lot of great saints that one could not forget, of course, many have had their own personal saint whom they pray to every time they need intercession.

This is just a few of them, and every saint has its own unique memory here on earth. So who’s your patron saint then?
