A 32-year-old Russian woman was caught with cocaine at NAIA 3.
A 32-year-old Russian woman identified as Anastasia Novopashina was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 for smuggling cocaine.
Pres. Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte has always set the battle against drugs as one of the prime focus of his administration. He has willed to clean the country from the presence of illegal drugs within the first three to six months of his term.
Together with Philippine National Police headed by PNP Chief Dir. Gen. Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa, the Duterte Administration has already started exerting its maximum effort to achieve the goal.
A lot of drug users already voluntarily surrendered to the authorities after the President has given them brave warnings. Several drug laboratories as well were discovered by the cops in some parts of the country.
In fact, there are Chinese nationals that are allegedly involved in some drug case. Nevertheless, based on a previous news report, China has expressed support to the President’s battle against drugs.
Airports now are even in full alert when it comes to checking the in and out of the passengers. A recent news report in ABS-CBN News stated that a Russian woman was arrested recently at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
Based on the news report, the Russian woman was identified as Anastasia Novopashina who arrived in Manila from Sao Paolo, Brazil through an Emirates Airlines flight.
The United States Drug Enforcement Agency has been coordinating with the local officials in monitoring the Russian woman until her she arrived in the Philippines where she was arrested for a high-grade cocaine kept in her jacket.
The report also stated that Ed Monreal, the general manager of Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), recognized the efforts of the NAIA Drug Interdiction Task Group in keeping the country protected from smuggling of illegal drugs.
