6.2 magnitude earthquake hits central Italy aftershocks were expected. On Wednesday (August 24, 2016) the mayor of the central Italian town of Amatrice was badly damaged by the quake struck on the place.
The earthquake happened in Italy caused a terror for the people who lives in the town as the earth moves and as they hear the rocks falling. A lot of families were looking for their loved ones that were missing during the incident.
According to the mayor due to earthquake happened some people were trapped in the rubble. Rescuers were there to rescue trapped people in the rubble to save lives. There are no exact numbers of trapped people were recorded.
Having a 6.2 magnitude quake is a strong one according to the magnitude scale that can cause a severe damage to the affected places. Also, the pope also urged from St. Peters Square in Rome to join him to pray together for our brothers and sisters in Italy.
