Aside from a ceasefire with Duterte, De Lima also wishes to have a ‘steady’ lovelife for her 57th birthday.
To have a lovelife is one of the birthday wishes of the soon-to-turn 57-years-old Senator Leila de Lima, next to having an end to what seems to have no end word battle between her and President Rodrigo Duterte.
Although Duterte have been pushing lately that Sen. De Lima had a love affair with her driver, Ronnie Palisoc Dayan, and just on Wednesday he had linked her to a certain MMDA haggard named a certain Warren, the lady senator insists that she is single.
De Lima will turn a year older on August 27, Saturday.
In a press briefing De Lima said that in tough times like this, where she is banging walls with the chief executive officer of the country, she needs a man who would be with her and help her make it through the struggle.
“Wala po akong boyfriend ngayon, wala akong lovelife ngayon. That brings me to second wish. This is personal— you may laugh at me— ang second wish ko po is sana mayroon akong lovelife ngayon,” she said.
“Sana magkaroon ako ng isang partner na sasamahan ako dito sa dinadaanan ko, kasi hindi biro itong dinadaan ko,” the senator added.
“Ngayong wala akong lovelife, iniisip ko nga, from the things going through, kailangan ko siguro ng partner na tulungan man lang ako,” she said.
(Now on lovelife, I do not have any lovelife now. But, I am thinking, with all the things I’m going through, maybe I need a partner to help me.)
But she said she has no plans of remarrying, as she promised her two children that she would not enter another marriage after she got her annulment.
“One thing is sure. I have no intention to remarry. After the annulment of my marriage, ‘yan ang commitment ko sa sarili ko sa mga anak ko (that’s my commitment to my self and to my children), that I won’t remarry anymore,” she said.
