Luis Jalandoni spoke his side on the Marcos burial.
MARCOS – The former peace panel chief negotiator of National Democratic Front of the Philippines, Luis Jalandoni, expressed his view on the effect of Marcos’ burial to peace talks.
Undeniably, the name ‘Ferdinand Marcos Sr.’ is known to both the past and the present generation as the young ones of today have witnessed the cries of the Martial Law victims over the burial of the late dictator at Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Marcos’ surprise burial at the resting ground for heroes and presidents has elicited a lot of reactions from ordinary and known personalities.
While some push that he is a president and a soldier thus giving him the privilege to be buried at LNMB, others firmly say that he was no hero.
In the previous months, it was Pres. Rodrigo Duterte who gave the go signal for the burial preparation of the former President but the preparation was soon put on hold after several petitions to block it were filed at the Supreme Court.
