President Rodrigo Duterte announced that he is ready to offer visa-free travel to Chinese tourists who want to visit the Philippines.
Duterte said that he will make the offer when he embarks on a three-day state visit to China coming October 18 to 21.
Duterte is visiting Brunei Darussalam on October 16 to 18, then Tokyo, Japan and Moscow, Russia later this year.
Visa-free privileges are given by the government of the Philippines to travelers from about 50 countries that included the member-states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as well as island states in the world.
Once the entry of the tourists in the Philippines becomes visa-free, they are only allowed to stay from 14 days to a maximum of 150 days.
