Cook A Pinoy Style Food w/ this Carbonara Recipe Including the Ingredients You’ll Need
CARBONARA RECIPE – Here is a recipe on how to cook a delicious carbonara in Pinoy style and the ingredients that you need to prepare.
When it comes to spaghetti, there are different styles in cooking. There is also the so-called white spaghetti or the carbonara. Are you also one of those who love to eat carbonara?
Carbonara may be a perfect menu for snacks or some chow time in between meals. Many love it cooked in a creamy way and can best be paired with a garlic bread.
Cooking this food is easy and the carbonara recipe actually contains a short list of ingredients to prepare.
Based on a carbonara recipe by Kawaling Pinoy, here are the ingredients that you must prepare in cooking this delicious food:
What To Prepare:
- 1 pound spaghetti pasta
- 2 pounds bacon cut in small slices
- 1 peeled onion, cut in small slices
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 1 pound fresh button mushrooms, make thin slices
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 14 ounces all purpose cream
- 2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, stemmed and make small slices
Procedure in Cooking
Based on the recipe, here’s what you have to do:
- Place a large pot over medium heat and then add four(4) quarts of salted water. Let it boil and add the pasta. Cook it less than one(1) minute of the directions in the package. Take it from heat and drain.
- Place a wide pan over medium heat and add the bacon. Stir it occasionally until it turns crispy with brown color. Remove it from the heat and drain from oil using a paper towel.
- Add the garlic and onions and cook until they soften. Add mushroom and cook until it softens.
- Remove the mushroom mixture from the pan.
- Add butter to the pan and wait until it melts then add flour. Cook it and stir it occasionally for around 1-2 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth and then the cream. Lower the heat and let it simmer.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and the nutmeg then season it with pepper and salt to taste.
- Add the mushroom, bacon, and the pasta and then toss to mix it with the sauce.
- Place it in a plate and place some fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese on top. Your carbonara is ready to serve.
