Honeymoon of Austrian Couple Turn Into Tragedy After Bridge in Bohol Collapse

An Austrian was killed when the Clarin Bridge over the Loboc River in Loay, Bohol gave way and collapsed on Wednesday afternoon, April 27.

According to the local authorities report, four persons were killed in the bridge collapse, including an Austrian man. A netizen named ‘Jiee Borja’ submitted a video of an Austrian widow lamenting the body of her 30-year-old husband who had been found.

The Austrian couple reportedly flew to the Philippines for their honeymoon, according to the story. However, while they were on their honeymoon, a tragic tragedy occurred.

During the confrontation, the husband allegedly managed to break the glass pane of their automobile, allowing his pregnant wife to flee. Her husband did not have the good fortune to live.

When he was brought to the hospital, he was proclaimed dead on arrival. Meanwhile, around 15 individuals were reportedly injured and rushed to the hospital right away.

Around 4:00 p.m., the bridge fell. According to reports, the bridge was damaged in 2013 by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Motorists continue to pass through it while the new bridge adjacent to it is being built.

Among those who passed through the collapsing bridge were cargo lorries. According to a report to Bohol Governor Art Yap from the Department of Public Works and Highways’ 3rd District chief Magiting Cruz, the bridge could not handle the quantity of vehicles stopped here owing to stalled traffic.
