With his number one priority to end corruption and i||egal drugs in the country, presumptive president Davao City Mayor Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte handpicked top cop, Chief Superintendent Ronald dela Rosa also known as “The Rock” or “Vin Diesel” of Davao City.

He served Davao City as police chief from January 30, 2012, to October 18, 2013, under Davao City Mayor Duterte’s regime, who is going to swear as the next Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the nation’s 16th president at noon this coming June 30.

Ronald dela Rosa a.k.a. “The Rock” warns offenders yesterday, “Hindi lang crush, ililibing ko kayo!”.

Ronald dela Rosa has been known for reducing by almost 60% of the i||legal drugs in the City.

Presumptive President Duterte picked Ronald dela Rosa who is now currently serving as the executive officer of the PNP Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development, under the ruling of Chief Supt. Ramon Apolinario, officer-in-charge of the Mimaropa region, and Senior Supt. Rene Aspera, chief of staff of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group.

When at the PNP Headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City, Dela Rosa told reporters, “The marching order to me is forward, march against i||egal drugs. It means no turning back.”

The incoming Chief of the PNP is also popularly known in the city as “Bato” not just because of his appearance but because he grew up in Barangay Bato, in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

And because of his performance and accomplishments, Dela Rosa has become an instant celebrity of sorts in the City.

People of Davao sometimes referred him as “The Rock” and sometimes “Vin Diesel.”
