Espinosa’s Death Was A Clear Case Of Extrajudicial Killing, Lacson Says

Senator Lacson Concludes That Espinosa’s Death Was A Clear Case Of Extrajudicial Killing

On Saturday (November 05, 2016), Senator Panfilo Lacson concluded that Mayor Espinosa’s death was a clear case of Extrajudicial Killing (EJK).

Regarding the death of Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa that was alleged fought back to police officers who served an arrest warrant for him at Baybay Leyte Jail was discussed by Senator Lacson with Senate justice and human rights committee chair Richard Gordon and said that it was a clear case of EJK.

The possibility of resuming the EJK investigation and Espinosa’s death will be discussed again on Monday when the session resumes, according to Lacson. As he concludes that Rolando’s killing was drug-related deaths.

Extrajudicial Killing

“I think that incident is the biggest challenge to the credibility of the PNP that could affect even the other operations involving drug suspects killed under similarly suspicious circumstances,” said by Lacson quoted by Inquirer.
