MARCH 2019 HOLIDAYS – Here is a list of the holidays in several areas in the Philippines this month of March.

Undeniably, a lot of people are looking forward to holidays which are usually declared or annually observed for a specific commemoration of a person or an event.

In the Philippines, there is a long list of regular and special non-working holidays included in the Philippine Holidays 2019. There are at least ten(10) long weekends this year.

But for March 2019, as of this writing, there is only one(1) city celebration included in the list of holiday and one(1) national celebration.

The Davao City Day which marks the creation of the city will be held on March 16, 2019 (Saturday) and it might be declared a holiday in the city only. It was on March 16, 1936 when the city was created.

Previously, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has declared March 22, 2019 as “Emilio Aguinaldo Day” through the Proclamation No. 621. It is in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of the Philippines’ first President.

Based on a report on InterAksyon, it is still unclear if March 22 will be a non-working holiday or a special holiday.

Among the twelve(12) months in a year, March is one of those months with a very least number of holidays but it is undeniably among the busiest months as well aside from December.
