North Korea Has Just Sent A U.S Citizen To Jail For 10 Years

North Korea has its second American citizen to send-off to jail – for 10 years.

Pyongyang, North Korea – Kim Dong Chul was found guilty of subversion and espionage, sending him on prison for ten years.

Kim Dong Chul is the second American citizen to be put on jail this year, reports say.

He was sentenced yesterday, Friday, that took place in North Korea’s Supreme Court, after a brief trial.

He was found guilty under the Articles 60 and 64 of North Korea’s cr1minal code.

The country consistently accuses Seoul and Washington of delivering some spies to in attempting to remove its government.

Kim honestly admitted that he had worked with and spied for the government of South Korea’s intelligence team in a move to put down North Korea’s leadership and attempted to spread religion among the residents, announcing it last month before the trial.

Some foreigners were also arrested previously and were also declared declared guilty.

According to South Korea’s national Intelligence Service, Kim’s case wasn’t related to their organization in any way.

State Department spokeswoman for East Asia and the Pacific, Gabrielle Price, said the United States already knew about Kim’s condition and case but she could not provide some statement due to strict and private considerations.

Last March, the North just sentenced an American university student for 15 years imprisonment due to involvement in an anti-state activity during a visit in the country as tourist.

Most American citizens who’ve been sentenced to long-term impris0nment but were released just before completing their full time service.

There were 28,000 American troops are sent to South Korea to combat aggress1ve forces from the North during the 1950-1953 Korean War.
