The poll body probes on Kris Aquino’s use of presidential chopper for campaign.

The Commission on Election (COMELEC) Law Department is now conducting an investigation over Kris Aquino’s alleged use of presidential chopper during a Liberal Party (LP) campaign.

Just recently, the multi-awarded host and the sister of President Benigno Aquino III drew flak online after using presidential chopper in a sortie in Cebu.

The presidential sister has been attending numerous event in line with LP campaign along with PNoy and one of which is her trip in Cebu where she was spotted boarding off the presidential chopper.

According to a report published by GMA Network, COMELEC spokesperson James Jimenez stated that the poll body is still waiting for the formal complaint against Kris Aquino before implementing necessary action with regards to the issue.

The COMELEC has already generated details about Kris Aquino’s visit in Cebu including those who accompanied her on the trip.

Earlier, Malacañang issued a statement in defense of Kris Aquino wherein he noted that his sister has been with him, boarding the chopper, especially making a deal with potential investors.

The palace added that immediate family of the president are allowed to use any official government vehicles as long as the president is on board.

Vice Presidential candidate and Senator Bongbong Marcos also made a statement criticizing the presidential sister over the use of the government property for personal use and for the campaign.

Kris Aquino also made an announcement via a rally to stop bashing her on the internet over the incident.

“Binubugbog daw ako sa social media. Sinasabi nila abusado ang pamilya Aquino. Pwede … ba na ipagtanggol niyo ako?” she said.

“Kaya po ako hinihingal. Kanina three kilometers and nilakad ko para makarating dito dahil sa sobrang traffic,” she added.
