US is looking forward to work with Rodrigo Duterte.

The United States (US) is looking forward to work with presumptive president Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte. The Davao City Mayor is still leading the presidential race, while his opponents have already conceded the defeat.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau said that they respect the choice of Filipino people, adding that they are glad to work with the country’s top official.

“Washington respects the choice of the Philippine people. We gladly work with the leaders they’ve selected,” she said.

“We look forward to working with the leader that the Philippines has elected,” she added.

Duterte was not yet officially proclaimed as the president, but the unofficial count by Commission on Election (Comelec) showed Duterte having a huge lead over his rivals. He has already reached the 15-million mark.

On April, the tough-talking politician made headlines after his controversial joke about an Australian woman who was violated in Davao City Mayor. He was heavily criticized by people, including the ambassadors of  Australia and US.

He also dared them to cut their ties with the Philippines if he will be elected as the next president.

Duterte, who is known for using expletives in his speech, has vowed to be prim and proper as he will be representing the country. He said that he needs to control his mouth.

“I cannot be bastos because I am speaking for our country. If you are the president of the country, surely you need to be prim and proper,” he said.

  1. Cheers to our candidate Mayor Rody Duterte for his unprecedented landslide victory as President-elect of the Republic!

Welcome to Sonny Dominguez as he is a very good choice indeed in the President’s inner circle.

However, it bothers me that the so-called “respectable” Gibo Teodoro shall become a key figure in the new Cabinet. Why?

Gibo Teodoro is currently the Chairman of the Board of Sagittarius Mining, one of the most notorious mining companies in the whole world, such that it’s home country Australia has even listed this company as undesirable for repeatedly breaking all mining laws including those in their own country.

For many years now, SMI has repeatedly attempted to get the approval of the people from Davao to engage in open pit mining in their Tampakan project where they intend to dump the soil and rocks from the open pit into a monstrous pile that shall even be taller than Mt. Apo.

    #TallestManMadeMountain????

In previous hearings, oppositors asked what SMI would do if an earthquake occurs and this gargantuan mountain collapses and tumbles down to destroy the hundreds of communities below.

SMI simply said they will prevent this from happening. No further explanations were given how they intend to do it.

    #IsSMIMorePowerfulThanGod????

Oppositors also submitted documents to the government that prove SMI encroached on their private lands including the ancestral lands of indigenous tribes.
