An Open Letter To Duterte
Open letter to Duterte: PDP-Laban standard bearer Davao City Mayor Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte is undeniably a threat to all presidential candidates this coming May 9 election. Though he is a latecomer in the race, still he gained a lot of supporters believing that he will bring a big change to the country.
Digong being number one in Pulse Asia Survey, still he receives a lot of criticisms. There are a lot of people begging to disagree with putting him in the higher office. Still, there are a lot of people who believes that Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is not what the Philippines need.
From the very beginning that he announced his presidency, he begun to make a loud buzz with his incendiary statements about freeing vilified political personalities, cursing the Pope, kissing lips-to-lips with supporters, implying dictatorship, ki||ings, rap3 statements, using awful words, Antisocial Narcissistic personality disorder, cutting ties with the United States and Australia and many more.

Even though a lot of people are scared to shout what they want to tell to Duterte on social media, there are people who are brave enough to stand what they believe in. One Facebook user made an open letter directing to Mayor Duterte. The user talks about Freedom of speech issue, Freedom of choice, and End of the diplomatic union for Australia and the USA to the Philippines.
Here’s the open letter:

Who will you recomnend then for presidency? You have expressed your views about Duterte. How about the rest of the candidates? It would be a great help if yòu can do the same thing for the rest without being biased to enlighten everyone on who could be the best bet to lead our nation and propervassessment on the type of leadership according to the current situation and crises that we have in our county.
If he is taking responsibility for his open letter why is his name blurred out?
correct!! his name is blurred..
anyways… his somehow correct about the freedom things.. it should not be absolute.. but what makes me think that he is also somehow wrong is his idea about being a youth model why? whats the use of being so good in public figure if you cannot make change to the living of the filipino.
secondly, about the alliance to the country. yes your right . a big dollar from those countries are coming in and out in the philippines but that doesn’t mean that we should always be an allied to them. we are actually having a global market, importation and exportation can be done to different parts of the world. china is our number one trading partner while China’s partner is the United states. is China an ally to USA? then why they still trade. it only means that ally or not dollars will still come to our country.
whoever posted the article would like to protect his identity. simple as that. keep an open mind, it is brave of this person to write a letter. this man truly need to be checked. is that the leader you would want to represent your country? do you hold the same values – or lack thereof – as this man? how is he on economy? does he know the issues very well and offer a substantive, well thought out solution – or does he simply bully his way? think. that is the message here.
Wag kang nananakot dyan Jorge. Ang Pilipinas ay rerespetohin ng ibang bansa kapag nanalo si Dutarte.

Marcial, do you know what an open letter is??? Your lack of education shows. If it was confidential then it should not have been publicized and whoever wrote the letter can hide his identity and no one would care. Since it is an open letter it is open for anyone to read his writing which means his/her name should also be “open”.
If his/her name is a secret then you, I or anyone could have written that letter. As it is no one is able to direct their comments to the writer.
Its common sense my friend…if you dont like duterte?then dont vote for him..its just simple…duterte just saying what’s really happening in our society with the hold of present people in government….
Yes why need to hide
We are voting for our Mayor Duterte and that is very clear no one can change that. You are very right saying all these to Mayor Duterte, I hope he can read these and will have a moment of reflection. What you say is absolutely true and correct. Our Mayor can be a though, strong fearless leader yet can be kind, respectful , polite and doesn’t just open and throw words as he likes, I totally agree with you his acrimony and asperity caused all misinterpretations of what kind of a man he is. He is a good mayor in our city but his intrusiveness is just absurd. Let’s pray for the mayors enlightenment ,that he will at least have prudence as he will lead our country soon..
If Duterte wins, the same people who voted him to the presidency will be the same people who will remove him from Malacanang via people power once they realize that they made a very big mistake of voting for him. But the scary thing is Duterte with his narcistic tendency and penchant for killing people might order the mass killing of protesters which Marcos failed to do during the Edsa revolution.
