With so much controversies happening in our country nowadays, especially the election season, the daughter named Sofia Romualdez of newly proclaimed Mayor of Tacloban City, Cristina Gonzales-Rumoaldez and Alfred Romualdez did not escape it.
Everyone is in shock when the controversial tweet being passed on social media portals was actually the tweet of the daughter newly proclaimed Tacloban City mayor.
In her viral tweet, Sofia Romualdez used foul languages towards Vice president-elect Leni Robredo questioning her qualification as the Vice President of the country. Look at her tweets below:
She later apologized for her foul and controversial tweet saying, “What I said about Leni was out of frustration and anger. I’m human and I make mistakes too, I’m sorry if I offended anyone,” she tweeted.
Just after her apology, her twitter account has been deactivated.
In this controversy, it is very clear that this is not just about the Leni Robredo or any Vice presidential candidate. This is no longer politics, what we can conclude is that, values that parents must instill in their children. What our children say or do reflects on what kind of parents we are in the society.
We hope that this will serve as a big lesson not only to Sofia but also to all the youngsters out there and of course to the parents. Sofia is still young and she will surely learn a lot because of this.
