The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has issued its latest weather forecast for June 27, 2025, indicating that the Southwest Monsoon, or habagat, continues to affect large parts of the country. The monsoon is bringing cloudy skies and rain to the Visayas, Mindanao, and the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon.

According to Pagasa, residents in Metro Manila, the entire Visayas region, MIMAROPA, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, and Batangas should brace for cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rains and thunderstorms. The active southwest monsoon causes these weather conditions and may lead to moderate to, at times, heavy rainfall, raising the risk of flash floods and landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also due to the monsoon. Although rainfall will be less intense in these areas, Pagasa still warns of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
In contrast, the rest of Luzon, not directly impacted by the southwest monsoon, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms. Residents are similarly advised to remain alert for potential flooding and landslides during heavy downpours.
Wind conditions throughout the country are expected to be light to moderate. In Northern and Central Luzon, winds will come from the southwest to southeast, with coastal waters ranging from slight to moderate at 0.6 to 1.8 meters. In the rest of the country, winds will blow from the southwest to west, with similar coastal water conditions ranging from 0.6 to 1.2 meters.
As of 6 PM today, general flood advisories remain in effect for several regions. These include Region 1 (Ilocos Region), Region 3 (Central Luzon), Region 4A (CALABARZON), Region 4B (MIMAROPA), Region 6 (Western Visayas), Region 7 (Central Visayas), Region 8 (Eastern Visayas), Region 11 (Davao Region), and Region 13 (Caraga).
