Pagasa June 19 Forecast: Rain in Mindanao, Aurora, and Quezon

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released its afternoon weather bulletin for June 19, 2025, highlighting the influence of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) over Mindanao and easterlies across the rest of the country.

According to the forecast, Mindanao is expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. PAGASA warned that these conditions may result in moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall, potentially triggering flash floods or landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, the provinces of Aurora and Quezon are also under threat of scattered rains and thunderstorms brought by the prevailing easterlies. Similar to Mindanao, these areas are cautioned against the possibility of localized flooding and landslides.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also attributed to the easterlies. While the weather may appear fair in general, severe thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening could still result in sudden downpours, leading to possible flash floods in urban areas.

Wind and Sea Conditions:

  • Luzon will have light to moderate winds coming from the east to southeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 meters in wave height.
  • For Visayas and Mindanao, winds will also be light to moderate, blowing from the southeast to the east. Sea conditions are expected to remain generally calm to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 1.2 meters.

Temperature and Humidity:

  • The maximum temperature for the day reached 31.9°C at 2:00 PM, while the minimum was 25.1°C at 4:30 AM.
  • Relative humidity peaked at 93% at 5:00 AM and dropped to a minimum of 61% at noon.

As of 2:00 PM, PAGASA reported no Low Pressure Areas (LPAs) being monitored for potential tropical cyclone formation.

General Flood Advisories have been issued or finalized for several regions, including CAR, Regions 1, 3, 4A, 4B, 9, 11, 12, 13, and BARMM, with varying levels of alerts due to localized heavy rainfall over the past few days.
