What Is a Subject Pronoun?
It is a word that is used to replace a noun and in a sentence, it is the subject and they are often placed in the first part of a sentence and before the verb to indicate that it is the doer. According to the Collins Dictionary, it is “a pronoun which takes the place of a subject in a sentence, such as (in English) ‘I’, ‘you’, or ‘we’.”
“I,” “we,” “she,” “he,” “they,” “you,” “who,” or “it” are the doers in a sentence. They could be first person, second person, or third person may also be in the form of singular or plural.
Remember:
- We is always plural.
- I, she, he, and it are always singular.
- They, you, and who can be singular or plural.

- Subject of a comparison
