The cover photo of a men’s magazine, FHM, featuring Diana Zubiri became controversial in 2020. The photo was taken in the middle of the EDSA flyover in Mandaluyong, leading to a legal case filed against her and the FHM team by then-Mayor Benjamin Abalos, Jr. The case, allegedly involving a grave scandal, was later withdrawn.
Behind the scenes, one of the reasons Diana agreed to the photo shoot was reportedly because she asked for a cell phone in exchange for her manager. This led her to go through with the post. Additionally, according to reports, some alterations were made to the photos during the shoot.
Diana Zubiri, a popular sexy star then, was frequently featured as a model in the said men’s magazine. It was claimed that due to her youth at that time, she had little knowledge about her actions, including her involvement in mature films.
After the dare, the shoot occurred on the morning of October 29. By the afternoon, Diana had a brand-new Nokia 7650, a high-end phone at the time, valued at over 30,000 pesos. Reportedly, Diana did not have a cell phone at that time and only communicated with her sibling through text messages.
These revelations were made by Diana Zubiri during an episode of Boy Abunda’s show, “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
